Leading house builder gets Code Computerlove to build on its digital foundations

Tuesday, 14 August 2007

National house builder Morris has appointed Code Computerlove www.codecomputerlove.com as its digital partner following a three-way competitive pitch.

Morris has handed Code Computerlove the five figure account on the back of its full service credentials and commercial understanding. The agency will be tasked with the development of a new online presence for Morris at www.morrishomes.co.uk, as well as implementing a digital marketing campaign and SEO strategy.

Andrew Davenport, Client Services Director at Code, said, “Our proposals demonstrated ways that Morris can better exploit property portals that dominate house search in this sector and digital solutions that can help to drive traffic into show homes. The new site will also provide visitors with the same quality brand experience that Morris provides offline.”

Emma James, Marketing Manager at Morris said, “Code was ‘head and shoulders’ above the other agencies we talked to in terms of their focus on commerciality and return on investment.

”The residential property market is an increasingly competitive one dominated by online search – in fact figures show that 100 million people search for houses online every year. Our new digital solution will drive more buyers to our properties and allow Morris to leap ahead of the competition.”

Morris is one of the country’s largest privately owned house builders, with more than 70 sites currently in development. The company’s head office is in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and there are five regional offices throughout the North West and Midlands.

Code Computerlove is a full service digital marketing agency offering website design and build, re-building, maintenance and e-marketing.  Formed in 1999, Code currently employs 48 people at its offices in Manchester.  Over the last five years, Code has won a total of 35 industry awards – including a Revolution award for best retail site in 2007 and three ‘best agency’ awards in 2006/7. Code’s client list includes Waterstone’s, Kimberly Clark Corporation, HMV, RHM Food Services, NUS Services, BUPA, and Akzo Nobel.
